DERMAPLANING

Dermaplaning:

It’s a method of exfoliation that consists of using a 10 gauge scalpel to gently scrape off the top layer of dulling dead skin cells in order to reveal a smoother, brighter complexion.

Microdermabrasion uses mild suction, along with specially formulated baking soda crystals that are propelled at a high speed across the skin to efficiently abrade the surface. This results in a dramatic increase in blood flow and circulation throughout the treated area. Additionally, it accelerates the skin turnover rate and jump-starts the proliferation of new skin cells. The combination of exfoliation and increased blood flow leaves you with healthier, clearer and more youthful skin. Microderms are used to treat fine lines and wrinkles, uneven pigmentation, clogged pores, rough skin texture, minor scars and age/sun spots. To achieve maximum improvement a series of 4-6 treatments performed at intervals of 1-2 weeks is most effective. Maintenance treatments can be performed every 4-8 weeks. Microdermabrasion may feel mildly abrasive; intensity can be adjusted according to the client’s comfort level. After treatment, some clients may experience temporary redness.
